OFFICE of the GENERAL COUNSEL – HARVARD UNIVERSITY
Located on the ninth floor of Holyoke Center, a building in the heart of Harvard Square designed by Jose Luis Sert in the late 1950’s, the Office of the General Counsel is the home of the in-house legal staff for Harvard University. The addition of space and lawyers prompted a master plan and then the renovation that opened up the common work areas to a large window with a wonderful view of the roofs of the campus. Every space was put to use: a small nook becomes a research station, a kitchenette has a glass wall to let in light and view but keep out noise. The 6,500 SF space also includes several conference rooms, a law library and compact file storage.
