When a rapidly growing Biotechnology Research and Development company headquartered in China needed to quickly establish a base of operations in Massachusetts, Chan Mock Architects was there to bring the project to fruition. The space was operational 11 weeks after CMA was hired. The small office is in the heart of Cambridge’s Kendall Square innovation district and is designed to be a showcase for prospective clients as well as a home base for the company’s mobile New England staff. Located in an historic mill building, its colorful palette creates a dialogue with the original timber framing and exposed brick walls.
